ECOTOURS IN CABO SAN LUCAS

Cabo San Lucas is known for it's exciting water sports, fun boat tours, and thrilling canopy tours, but an important part of the tourism in the Los Cabos area is Ecotourism.  You may think "Cabo is just desert, what could there be to see"?  But there is much more to the Baja than desert.  We have deep, lush canyons, beautiful rivers, hundreds of species of migratory birds, and of course a dazzling array of marine life, including whales, dolphins, manta rays, and sea turtles.  This special selection of Cabo Ecotours is designed to take you closer to nature, to see some of what Cabo has to offer.

CABO SAN LUCAS ECOTOURS FAQ's

Q: I'M ON A CRUISE SHIP - DO YOU PICK UP FROM THE PIER?
A: Some of these tours are too long to be good options for a cruise stop, but the Ocean Riders boats depart from the marina, just walk on over from your ship.  The sea kayaking is just a short water taxi ride or a moderate walk from the pier.

Q: DO YOU OFFER TRIPS TO SEE MAYAN RUINS?
A: Well, there are no Mayan or Aztec Ruins in the Baja.  These are much further South and East from Cabo, too far for a day trip.  However, we do explore the same canyons occupied by the first humans in the Americas - the Pericue - during our hiking tour.

Q: WHAT MAKES THESE TOURS ECOTOURS?  WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
A: Well, ecotourism is tourism focused on nature and ecological themes.  These tours bring you closer to nature than any other tour, not counting snorkeling or scuba diving of course.  Your tour guide will explain to you about the region's flora and fauna, point out species of wildlife that you see, and give you a sense of the history and ecology of Cabo.
