SAN JOSE DEL CABO EXCURSION

ESSENCE OF SAN JOSE

This is a unique sightseeing tour of San Jose del Cabo available from the entire Los Cabos area.  Although you will also visit the core sights of San Jose del Cabo, such as the town square and church, this tour will focus also on the natural side of the Baja area, including the flora and fauna of the region.

On the way to San Jose del Cabo, we will stop at Cacti Mundo, a botanical garden filled with desert flora including Latin America's most important collection of cactus species.  Many of these species have never been seen before by the public!  Your guide will introduce you to the importance of these cacti to the Los Cabos region.  Next we'll visit the Estuary of San Jose del Cabo, where you can encounter and learn about the vast array of endemic species of birds, reptiles and mammals that call the estuary home.

We will visit the colonial center of San Jose del Cabo, including the main church, town plaza and a few of the enchanting art galleries for which this town is known.  Our last stop is the Organic Market, open only on Saturdays, where you can browse locally produced paintings, sculptures, fruit and vegetables, and taste some of the delicious locally made delicacies.  A nice, off-the-beaten-track look at "the Real Cabo".
