La Paz (The Peace) certainly deserves its name. It
stands with grace on a wide bay of the Sea of Cortez, and is
still a tranquil and very Mexican port with a well-preserved
nostalgic "Old Baja" atmosphere. Enjoy a visit to the
Cathedral built in the XVIII century and the main commercial
plaza, where you can purchase imported items tax free as
well as authentic Mexican handicrafts.
After complimentary hotel pickup, your journey through the
Baja begins with a visit one of the region's most
charming mountain towns - El Triunfo
(a turn-of-the-century silver mining town). The road
to La Paz will unfold onto the can't miss rock formation on
Balandra Beach.
Then it's on to La Paz for lunch at an ocean view palapa
restaurant and to tour the city.
Return along the scenic coastal highway, stopping at the artsy
town of Todos Santos, where you'll see the real Hotel
California from the famous Eagles song, and catch
a dramatic Pacific sunset before returning to Los Cabos.
A true sightseeing experience in the Baja!
